As a shortlisted candidate for the bursary, overseen by Shape Arts you get to be part of an exhibition of shortlisted candidates. This year with Hull2017 being the city of culture the exhibition is at Artlink. The exhibition runs from the 8th April to 12th May. Most of my work has a political element in the show – with a very definite small p. Syndrome is being shown in the context of a country experiencing the Stockholm Syndrome with regards to austerity, Sagacity – the periodic table of emotions is questioning civic happiness and Timed Out explores disability politics and work. On the 29th of April I gave a talk at the gallery around my work and professional development for disabled artists.
